Finish connecting your AI assistant
The assistant starts the connection, but you approve its access in a secure Datavrn browser window. Follow these steps if the connector says it is connecting or waiting for you.
You need a Datavrn account that belongs to an organization. If you do not have both yet, sign in at https://app.datavrn.com and finish joining or setting up your organization before you connect.
Start from your assistant
Open its Apps or Connectors settings. Select Datavrn if it is listed. If the assistant asks for an MCP server address, choose Add custom connector and enter https://app.datavrn.com/api/mcp. Then choose Connect and keep that screen open.
Finish in the browser window
A browser window should open. Sign in to Datavrn if needed, choose the organization, access profile, and optional data categories for this connection, then select Approve access.
Return to your assistant
After approval, return to the assistant. It may take a few seconds for the connector to change from connecting to connected.
If no browser window opens
- Check your other browser windows and tabs for the Datavrn approval page.
- Check whether your browser blocked a pop-up. Allow pop-ups for the assistant only, then choose Connect once more.
- If it still spins, close and reopen Apps or Connectors settings. Remove Datavrn from the assistant if it appears there, add it again using the address above, and choose Connect.
If you approved but it still says connecting
Wait a few seconds, then close and reopen the connector panel. If it still says connecting, open Datavrn Settings → Agent access → Connected apps. If this assistant appears there, select Disconnect. Then remove Datavrn from the assistant, add it again using the address above, and connect again. If it does not appear in Connected apps, skip the Disconnect step and restart from the assistant.
Before you approve
Check that the browser address begins with https://app.datavrn.com/. Never paste your sign-in code or password into the assistant. Upload a trial balance only through the short-lived Datavrn browser link; when its access permits, the assistant may ask you to enter or confirm statutory disclosure figures or adjustments in chat. Cancel if the organization or access shown is not what you intended. That request makes no change; if you were reconnecting, the connection keeps its current access.
